Article 33 of the ICSID Convention provides that conciliations will be conducted in accordance with the Conciliation Rules in effect on the date on which the parties consented to conciliation, except as the parties otherwise agree.
The original Conciliation Rules were adopted on September 25, 1967 and were effective as of January 1, 1968. These were published with non-binding explanatory notes:

The Conciliation Rules have subsequently been amended three times. The first amendment was approved and took immediate effect on September 26, 1984:
